                         Welcome to AmigaNet

You may be wondering what AmigaNet is, and what it is about. Simply put,
AmigaNet is a global FTN (Fidonet Technology Network) System of interlinked
nodes, BBS's, and points around the world. It is dedicated to the support of the
Amiga as a business as well as home computer. The idea is to provide support on
all fronts to all Users and SysOps. This is done via the transmission of
messages across the AmigaNet network. You don't have to own and use an AMIGA to
support the platform!

We are a small and friendly "real-name" Network operated by amateur Amiga
computer enthusiasts. As such, the petty arguments and hassles found on the
larger Networks don't exist. AmigaNet believes strongly in the fact that ALL
computer users are equal. Everyone has their own right to their own opinion.
Arguments and/or the slamming of someone just because their idea is different
will not be tolerated by the users of AmigaNet. In other words, keep it
friendly.

The network exists in the form of one Zone, which is split in Regions.

AmigaNet uses Zone number 39.
There are currently 8 Regions in Zone 39.
These Regions cover the following areas:

Region 10: Italy
Region 11: Switzerland
Region 13: UK
Region 14: Denmark
Region 15: Netherlands
Region 16: Sweden
Region 17: Germany, Austria, Serbia, Hungary
Region 26: Finland
Region 27: Belgium
Region 42: Czech Republic and Slovakia
Region 90: Rest of the World (Currently: North America, Australia, New Zealand and Argentina)

(Other Regions may be added on an as needed basis.)
